What?! Who me?!
Can you believe I've made it to 11 weeks?!?! I'm still pinching myself...hourly.
I feel like today marks the beginning of a new experience. I've never made it to 11 weeks before.
Never.
So this is officially brand spanking new territory.
I actually had to pick up WTEWYE just to figure out what's happening this week and thought I'd share what our sweet baby is up to!
So by the end of this week baby will measure about 2.5 inches and weigh half an ounce!
The digestive system will begin practicing contraction movements, white blood cells are forming, and the pituitary gland will start producing hormones so that one day I can have some grandbabies!
Pretty neat stuff happening in there! Wish I could get another peak at our wiggle worm!
As for me: morning sickness is still in full force though I do seem to get a few hours of peace each day. The timing varies though. But that's an improvement.
I tried a cheeseburger today. It was a disaster. Meat is so disgusting lately. I even tried French fries with ketchup and decided it really was pretty bad too so I dipped them in mustard and was a happy camper. What is it about mustard right now?!
If you knew my love of cheeseburgers and ketchup before pregnancy you'd be amazed that I couldn't eat it today!
I must admit I find these changes fascinating! And weird.
Brian and I ordered our favorite pizza tonight. Johnny's pepperoni with jalopenos. I figured if I didn't like that then there's no hope. It was really good but two slices in (and Johnny's slices are pretty small) I had to quit though. A little too greasy for my tummy right now but still oh so good going down!
Baby steps.
Now if I can just eat some veggies.

Woo hoo! This is a great milestone. I hope you have 29 more boring weeks from here on out! :)
ReplyDeleteHallelujah! I'm sorry you're still sick but love that it means it's because your Lil miracle is growing!!
ReplyDeleteYay! 11 weeks is sooo amazing!!! So excited that you are in unchartered territory. That must be so reassuring! And at 11 weeks I totally have to request some belly pics...you know...just to make sure :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kara
I am so thrilled for you! It's music to my ears to hear that you still have morning sickness (no offence) ;) and that you have passed such a huge milestone! This is your take home baby! You're going to be a Mama! 4th time was the charm for me too.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a relaxing weekend!
Congrats on 11 weeks!!! And mustard would make me wonder if you are having a boy. You know, old wives tales say sour or sweet means boy!
ReplyDelete:) (Nothing else necessary, just a BIG grin!)
ReplyDeleteWhen's your next ultrasound?
Somewhere between 18-20 weeks! Assuming I don't have any freakouts or issues between now and then!
DeleteI'm beyong happy for you sweetheart! Keeping growing little miracle!!
Delete:D
Delete"baby steps" =) YAY for 11 weeks!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWay to Grow, Art! Woo hoo! When I was pregnant with Sully, all I wanted to eat was steak burritos. We don't have a Chipotle in my town, and the closest one is about 115 miles away and I actualy google mapped how long it would take Robert to go there for me.. it was hilarious! Also, try waffles in the morning. This is gonna be gross, but considering I had hyperemsis and basically lived in the bathroom, I can tell you that they settled well in the tummy and if you have to puke, they don't taste bad coming back up... hahah!
ReplyDeleteSo SO happy for you! Yay for this little fighter! GROW BABY GROW :D
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! This post makes me so happy for you, sweets.
ReplyDeleteI nominated you for a Liebster award.
